About Lin

Healthcare Art Consultant Lin Swensson:

lin-headshotLin has over ten years of exclusive experience in the healthcare field as an art consultant through her firm of Lin Swensson & Associates (LSA). She has been in the healthcare business over 16 years, since 1999. Her experience has been in art consulting, sales, project management, and construction for various health facilities. These locations include Tennessee, Maryland, New Jersey and Ohio. Following are a list of references, associates resumés, and samples of her various projects. Lin brings professional experience as an artist, art professor, art dealer, and healthcare sales associate — as an art consultant, her experience brings great value to the client. During negotiations between the artists and project teams, Lin is able to establish realistic goals, support the client’s expectations, and identifying aesthetic and technical concerns. LSA’s company approach is to be more than consultants, but partners, focused on creating healing spaces, enhancing the facility’s branding, and the development of community engagement through visual arts. Lin Swensson’s mission is to go beyond the simple selection and placement of art, but to provide inspiring, outstanding, and appropriate original art which in-turn improves the quality of the healthcare experience. Lin Swensson’s many talents have been recognized with a featured PBS televised film segment, “State of the Arts,” and in various articles in project locations. In 2005, she was given an Award of Merit for Excellence in Development from the State of Tennessee for her “collaborative work” with the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Lin is an active member of the Global Alliance of the Arts in Healthcare and the Center for Health Design. She has lectured on “The Importance of Art in the Healthcare Environment” to the architect and interior design students at the Texas A&M University.
